A Message From Our Executive Director |
|
|
Dear Friends,
If you’re receiving our E-tails, you’re already a member of the ARRI “family”. Our family includes adopters, fosters, volunteers, business partners, donors, and some who wear many of those hats. There are also those who know our work and support us not just locally, but from afar. We’re so grateful!
All the things that make you part of our family also make you part of our success. When you introduce your friends and family to ARRI, you’re supporting us in a special way: you’re helping to get animals placed in loving homes. You make it possible for us to do what we do and motivate us to do more every day. We’d love to thank you in person and invite you to join us on June 14th at The FurBall. It’s going to be a fantastic celebration!
With gratitude, |
Liz Skrobisch Executive Director |

Thank You Labradoodle Donors! |
We'd like to give a big THANK YOU to all of our donors who supported our current Facebook fundraiser to help 3 Australian Labradoodles. Together, you raised $1,058 for these special pups rescued from an overcrowded home in RI. Funds will go toward the veterinary care, grooming, and training they need to get ready for their forever homes!
Your generosity and support mean the world to us and these lovable pups!

Summertime Safety - Top 10 Tips |
It's the official start to summer 2024, and the ARRI team has a few tips to take good care of our furry friends throughout the heat and fun. -
NEVER LEAVE YOUR PET IN A CAR, even in the shade or with the windows down. Cars heat up quickly and it can take just minutes for your pet to be in distress.
Keep pets off of lawns that have been chemically treated or fertilized for 24 hours (or according to package instructions). -
Make sure to only keep nontoxic plants and flowers around the home.
- Exercise your pet early in the morning or later in the evening when it's cooler. Keep walks short and take frequent breaks.
- When outdoors, be watchful for signs of heat stress such as excessive panting, vomiting, lack of appetite, or lethargy.
-
Always have cool, fresh water available.
- Ensure they have adequate shade such as a tree, umbrella, or canopy, for example. If your pet is indoors, consider leaving on a fan or air conditioner, and check on them frequently.
-
Make your pup a Kongsicle! Fill a Kong with their favorite treats, freeze, and allow them to enjoy a cool treat. Yogurt, bananas, canned pumpkin, canned dog food, lean ground or shredded meat, chopped carrots or apples and mini-treats are great options.
- Consider indoor games such as snuffle mats, puzzle toys, and hide and seek.
Spray your pet with a pet-safe repellent and get rid of mosquito breeding sites.
A little prevention can keep everyone happy and tails wagging all summer long! |
Every Day is ADOPTION DAY at ARRI |

Meet Beauty, a one-year-old hound girl who truly lives up to her name, weighing in at only 38 pounds. Perfectly sized for both cuddles and adventures, Beauty is always ready to explore the great outdoors or snuggle up on the couch. With her nose to the ground, she’s a curious little detective, sniffing out new smells and exciting discoveries at every turn. Beauty absolutely adores attention and isn’t shy about giving affection. Expect plenty of hugs and kisses from this loving pup! Her playful spirit shines during play dates with other dogs, where she makes friends easily and enjoys every moment of fun. Beauty is truly the perfect companion for anyone seeking a balance of adventure and affection.

Our goal is to bring best friends and families together, and it's truly gratifying when we find wonderful homes for our furry friends! |

Dixie (formerly Spotty) is doing AMAZING. She LOVES the dog park, she loves trails, she loves the car, and she loves people. We have her on a schedule for mealtime, and she’s used to our schedules for work. Thanks, Shannon |

Hi there ARRI Team,
Odin (aka Trooper) is doing amazing. We renamed him after a movie because the character only has one eye. He’s been great to us, we got him a couple cat towers and plenty of toys. He likes to wake up really early and try to get our attention for food, starting around 5am. All of our windows have shelves, so we put a couple beds and other things up there for him since he loves sitting on them and looking outside. We also take him to our parents' house at least once a week for dinner, because they have 2 cats as well, and he loves going over there to play with them!
Thanks ARRI, Aidan |
