River's story is just one of many magical moments from this past year. 

ARRI's holiday wish in 2023 was to find River a home. After a year of shelter life, River got to say goodbye to all the friends she had made and start her new life! 

This sweet and playful girl waited patiently in our shelter for the right family to come along and give her the happy home she deserves.

She now lives out her days in her favorite pink sweater going on lots of adventurous hikes with her new family.  

Heartwarming bonds like this are made possible because of our wonderful and caring community!

In 2024, more than 45 individuals and corporate partners held food drives for our shelter. Thank you! 

Food drives provide critical food and supplies for our shelter and for ARRI's Community Pet Food Pantry. There is no food drive too small!

Anyone who’s interested can hold a pet food drive. You can hold it at your work, school, community gathering space, or anywhere you have permission to set out a donation box and solicit donations from others. 

The most effective way to hold a successful food drive is to make sure you get the word out to your community that you’re looking for donations and let them know where and when to drop them off.

Being a monthly donor is easy, efficient, and tax deductible! Automatic payment may be set up for your credit card, or we can mail you envelopes for the year. Manage your monthly donations easily through your personal donor portal. You can update your information, change or cancel your payments, and access your tax summary! 

We will work with your business to identify opportunities and programs that match your passions and interests, so we can create a tailor-made partnership. We'll market our partnership and provide you with timely impact reports so you can see clearly all the ways you empower and impact our community.

Cure the winter blues through ARRI's Community Partners Program, PAWpalooza! Join us in supporting our furry friends by hosting or participating in fundraising events throughout RI.

The owners of Ted's Stadium Kitchen and Pub and proud ARRI adopters will be partnering with McLaughlin & Moran beverage distributor to benefit our animals during the month of February.

For every drink purchased on their specialty menu, $2 will be donated to ARRI.

Relax, unwind, and enjoy a PAW-licious drink during the winter months - all to benefit homeless pets!

This February, SOCO Cycle Studio is hosting a Pet Food and Donation Drive at their local studios to benefit ARRI. It’s the perfect opportunity to give back to our furry friends in need while getting your workout in! 

Bring your donations and ride during a month of fitness, fun, and philanthropy. Let’s pedal together to make a positive impact in our community!

After having a home, JJ found his way back to ARRI after his owner was called to Active Duty.

It would mean the world to his owner to see JJ find a family who will love and cherish him just as much. JJ is everything you could want in a young dog—playful, social, and full of life. He loved tagging along to pet-friendly spots and will keep you smiling with his love for toys and sweet antics. This pup, who just turned one, is now looking for a home that will give him the same love and care he’s used to—and in return, he’ll fill your life with joy, laughter, and endless tail wags.

This sweet mama cat graduated from caring for her kittens and is ready to find a loving home of her own! Dottie is a gentle and kind soul who knows exactly what she likes. Whether she's lounging in a sunny spot or exploring her surroundings, Dottie enjoys having things her way. She appreciates a cozy, quiet space where she can relax undisturbed and loves to have her meals served on time.

Dottie is excited to start this new chapter with a family who will give her the love and attention she deserves. 

Molly just celebrated her first birthday while in our care! While we're always ready for a party, we know the best place to celebrate is in a home.

This lively girl is always ready for an adventure and would thrive in a home that can keep up with her playful spirit. Molly’s sweet and energetic personality makes her the perfect companion for an active family ready to give her the attention and exercise she needs. If you're looking for a playful, loving pup, Molly is waiting to bring joy to your life! 

Molly's true birthday wish is to spend each birthday to come in a loving home fit for her.

There are several ways of donating to help the pets at ARRI. Gifts of mutual funds, stocks, bonds, IRAs, cash, or other financial assets are wonderful ways to support the shelter.

Hazelnut

Girlie- now Hazelnut aka Nut has settled in wonderfully and is the perfect addition to our little family! 

She had a great first Christmas and loves playing with all of her toys while running through her tunnel. She is also very helpful during our work from home days. LOL

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better cat. Thank you for all of the help and support!

Felicia, now known as Yarra, is doing incredibly well!  She has settled in so well, she is now the center of our home!  It's as if she was always supposed to be with us.  She continues to be very gentle but she is starting to find her playful puppy side.  She loves going to the beach and digging in the sand.  She loves all of her toys and riding in the car with us.  She loves treats and now does all kinds of tricks.

I can’t thank you enough for giving us the time and room in order to decide which dog we should bring home. Although, if we had the ability, we would have brought them all home!  We wish each of you Happy Holidays and thank you for making our lives so much more joyful.
